This is a large early Victorian jug made of coopered oak with brass bands. While its original purpose is unclear due to its size, the oak has a lovely color, and it retains all of its original brass bands, along with a shaped brass top and brass handle. It's in good condition for its age, with no major flaws. It could serve well as a stylish stick or umbrella stand for a hallway.
