Malabrigo KAL - September 2023

This year the Malabrigo KAL features an amazing two-yarns shawl designed by Lora Marin with beautiful chevron patterns. This beautiful pattern takes 2 Ultimate Sock skeins and 3 Mohair skeins. You can knit the shawl using the same colour for both yarns or combine two different shades. On my Facebook Page I have a short live video talking you through the colours and alternatives. I do have very limited stock on Malabrigo Mohair, so do not wait to long with your decisions.

KAL starts on 1st September 2023.

To knit this shawl (the skill level is advanced beginner) you would need to know how to:

  • Knit

  • Purl

  • Lace with YO (Beginner level)

  • K2tog

  • SSK

  • I-cord tab cast on

  • Written and chart pattern

Pattern help

Malabrigo team will be answering questions about the pattern and help you work through the tricky parts. Plus for my customers I will have Saturday Afternoon Help sessions for this project.

Maslabrigo will have a Ravelry thread, Facebook group and Blog Posts to help you.

Prizes

KAL participants are invited to share their progress and photos on Ravelry, Facebook, and Instagram during September 2023 for the chance to win weekly prizes. Please, use #malabrigokal on all social media channels.

To be eligible for the prizes, projects must be knit using only malabrigo Mohair (required) and Ultimate Sock (can be changed for Sock or Mechita if you don’t have US).
