Isager Japansk Bomuld colour 10

Isager Japansk Bomuld (Japanese Cotton) is a unique and airy cotton tape yarn which at the first glance nearly can be mistaken for paper.

Japansk Bomuld is an interesting yarn and looks fantastic when combined with other yarns like Isager Silk Mohair, Alpaca 1 or used on its own. It creates a textured, slightly uneven fabric that adds character to your projects. While it feels almost like paper in the ball, it becomes lovely to work with and softens as you knit, becoming even softer after washing.

Though it can be clasified as a laceweight yarn, I would describe it as 4ply weight and it can be knit with larger needles for a light, open fabric. It’s the perfect choice for cool summer garments and accessories and there are a few designers on Ravelry using it in popular designs.
